In that case, you don't have the same problem as the founder of this thread at all. It probably an installation problem...Also, you dont need to download DX manually since TWoS already contains required DX installation which of course won't ask you for the path (DX setups know how to find their "way").

I recently installed Sh5 and Twos. I ran the game fine until it would crash to desk top suddenly. I reinstalled the game a twos with the real environment mod and the game is running fine but i have the issue if dialog options just being

having the same issue, nothing works and i have installed TWoS 3 times already, did everything including the post #17 fix that didnt work also.

now a question, after the step one of the istallation guide for TWoS is done the genericpatcher opens right? i start pressing yes like it tells me to do but it says the file path is wrong or something like that so i guide it to set the path to where my game is installed (after that i can see the 9 patches). My questions is: im supposed to guide the path inside the game installation folder or somewhere else?
