Yes, I understand and sometimes wonder what use if any Lauren will put hers to in the future.

I'll bet that she actually has, even if you have never noticed. It's not the degree specialty that matters, it is the skills in research and constructing logical spoken and written arguments that are imbued at university that really count. Those are the real transferable skills which are of value in most, if not all, jobs.

Afraid not... her interest has always been fashion and she started from the bottom.. clerical and taking her managers husband's shoes to the cobbler :haha:

Her degree was Social Sciences majoring in psychology - that's why she married me .. she must have been nutzzz.. :hmmm:

From there into quality control and auditing... some 27 years later (still in the same company) she's running the quality control and auditing side, national and international, for the biggest fashion retail firm in ZA.

The recognition you talk about only came about 4 years ago, by 'accident'.
Top management finally woke up and changed their ways of doing things.
