"According to that clause the document gives the Department Of Defense the authority to respond to requests for help from state and local authorities to help with situations that threaten lives or property. The last sentence specifically forbids the military from using that article to do anything against US citizens. " and that's a huge different I should have used another type of headlines to my thread. Like "US troops can now help in case of catastrophe" or something like that. I used some almost the same sentence as in the headlines in the article. Markus |

Conspiracy or not we have to recognize times are changing in the sense that crimes in large cities and small town America are getting more violent and premeditated. School shooting were we are finding the perp heavily armed. Shootings at a mall movie(heavily armed) and finding the perp has rigged his apartment with bombs. Bombs in bags at marathons. Shootings at a college in Blacksburg VA. The list continues to grow and getting more frequent. Sure, we have seen similar crimes in the past but at such frequency? It seems this activity with weapons and crazy manifestos is a weekly occurrence. Should the police be issued gear for handling a growing problem facing every city in America? Should they train for mall shootings? The do here in MD and rightly so. The landscape of types of crimes is changing. The police force must change with it. If there is some civil unrest they will be ready as well. There was civil unrest in the 60's. It required a response. Something different today that the police would not need to respond?
