SEVEN AFC championships. :O:

Oh wait.........superbowls??

Um, not quite 5, you got us there.

Jim Plunkett won 2 super bowls,
Peyton Manning has won 1.

I'm just sayin.... :arrgh!:

Yeah, peyton played pretty mediocre, but then again so did the o-line, the defense, and even the special teams. All around piss-poor.

The Denver Broncos have ruined more Super Bowls than any other team.
The latest implosion was one of their best efforts in that regard. :rotfl2:

I blame the weather.

I read the other day where a furniture store owner in Houston ran a special...
"Buy $6000.00 worth of furniture and if Seattle wins, you get your money back" He's on the hook for 7 million at the moment.:haha:

I knew there was another 49er fan here!

Though not so home town for me:O:.

I made the statement that the Niners Seahawks game was the true superbowl, Denver would have lost to any NFC team. (edit: playoff NFC team)

Lots agree.

49ers put up more of a fight in Seattle, with all that noise, than denver could have done at home.

Peyton is a great regular season qb. Less tears than his scared tear stricken, whinebaby brother at least.

My team, the Bengals, only got to the Super Bowl twice. But they were the two best Super Bowl games ever. Hats off to the 49ers, both games were against them. :salute:

Maybe the reason I'm not a football fan is the fact that the STL Rams are the closest team. :haha:

As I said in the NFL thread, it's eerily similar to the '86 Superbowl. Chicago 46 New England 10. :dead: In our case we got all used up defeating Miami in the AFC championship and just weren't ready for the Bears.

I think something similar happened here.

I wonder why Denver kept running that short, screen pass? You'd think they'd figure out, "this isn't working" at halftime:dead:. It was weird to see Wilson pick apart Denver's pass defense in the second half. His last few games, he was running for his life it seemed like. It was nice to see Percy have some big plays. Sports radio has been great!

My prediction to come from all of this... A broken down, worn out Manning is cut/retires in a year or two....and the Vikings acquire him.:dead::shifty:

I confess that I am not up on such things (not really all that strong of a football fan), but I thought there was a rule that all Super Bowls had to be played in enclosed stadiums?

vienna 02-05-14 05:58 PM

Peyton, interestingly enough, has the most wins of any active quarterback, but he also has the most postseason losses af any active quarterback:

An interesting legacy...

Seattle was party city today during the victory parade.
The place was higher than Denver.:yep:

Did you notice that Denver only ran for a few yards I think it was something like 26 yards, yet they were still trying to make it a running game late in the fourth quarter by running twice on 2nd and third downs and then passing on fourth down to try and make a first down, which they didn't make.

That spells coaching to me ... your behind 43-8 and your still trying to run the ball don't make sense.

plus when Denver lost to the San Diego Chargers it was on a Thursday night football game after they had just finished their bye week. In that game they only got 19 yards rushing.

I see a pattern here of Manning out of his norm and everything gets messed up.
