Not the exact answer I was looking for, but it is correct, so I guess this a co-winner.

58 + 1 dead = 59

Your question is a little hard to fully understand...the U-boat was empty of crew and one crewman was dead on the deck.

So in effect none were onboard but out of the entire crew 58 survived and one was killed.

meduza 11-24-13 03:16 PM

Only one, and he was dead.

Will Kindle version work with any ereader or only a kindle?

Hi there. Thanks for the head's up on Amazon Canada's price.

The Kindle version will work on any ereader as long as you have the Kindle app installed. I purchase Kindle books on my ipad with the Kindle app and it works just fine. Can't speak for the other ereaders, but I have been told that it will work as long as the Kindle app is installed on the device in question.

Hope that helps. Happy Reading!

Thanks for checking. Steel Boat, Iron Hearts is available on Kobo now, but not for the special $3.99 price. If you have a Kindle app on your Kobo, then you should be able to get it for the special limited time price. I hope that helps!

I just have a generic ereader from Aluratek which works well for my needs. I know I can convert the book if it doesn't have DCIM (?) protection on it using calibre. Maybe I will try doing more google digging, but it is hard to find answers on google now.:/\\!!

I figure it might be a little late but I'll give the question a try. By the time the boarding party was on U-505, there was only one German sailor on board and he was found dead on the deck. The other 58 had abandoned ship and were being collected by the vessels USS Jenks and USS Chatelain.
