Gov. Rick Scott has did no favors either ,with all the bad judgement calls and revenue policies.
Time for some new blood and working on the problems at hand.

Who knows, perhaps before I die, I can actually vote for a presidential candidate who cares about the United States as a whole, and not just a selected part.

I can't. The threat of America's nuclear arsenal was used as type of big stick policy during the Cold War; maybe that's what (s)he was going for. It wasn't Roosevelt's big stick, but that's the best that I could come up with.

I didn't say that but no I don't, and no I don't trust non politician Democrats either.

Having spent a lot on time on lp.org reading the libertarian position on the issues, they are, in some issues, as dangerously extremist as the Democratic/Republican party.

Why can't we get a moderate party? That's what I am looking for.

I don't agree with the libertarian position on all issues, but i find that i agree with the libertarian stance on more issues then i do democrat or republican. Besides that, i've been saying "screw em both" for quite some time now.

That is the basis for most political decisions. No candidate/party will represent everything you like and nothing you dislike. All you can do is find the candidate/party that only pisses you off the least. :D
