It was built in 1901-1903 by Kockums Mechanical Engineering and was the fourth and last ship in honor class. Huvudbetyckningen consisted of two 21 cm guns and sekundärbestyckningen of six 15.2 cm guns. At the beginning of World War II, the ship underwent a major modernization, which include bow was rebuilt, and during the war, she was flagship of Göteborgseskadern. The German Heavy Cruiser Blucher...young buna passes her resting place each time his ship is enroute to Oslo. He informs me oil leaks to the surface from her even to this day.
