I just uploaded the Abdiel minelayer:

and updated the first post in this thread with the links to all the ships.

Here's one of the ships I'd like to add to the Mediterranean Campaign:

She's the Italian cruiser Bolzano, a half-sister to the Trento and Trieste. Very beautiful, albeit very lightly-armored, ship. The picture shows how the ship looks right now in S3D. Still needs some work in the 3D model and in the mapping department so a proper camo pattern can be applied.

Thanks! Great job!

Thanks Great job

Hello JapLance if it allows your time as it might be sometimes with the heavy cruisers of the Hawkins class or the light cruisers of the Emerald class?

Thank you for you work and good luck in the new year.

sorry for my bad english!

Your English is fine to me .

Right now I have in mind redoing some of the ships in my British Mediterranean Campaign, which were very basic when released: the Navigatori-class destroyers or the smaller torpedo-boats, for example. That will probably keep me busy for a long time.

Screen captures of the Bolzano in the Museum:

Still a few details to be added (anchor and chain, for example), but the main 3D work is finished. The main guns, mast and the basic texture are from Von Dos' Trento cruiser, and the Ro.43 seaplane is from a Battle for the Baltic library.

Wonderful ships! Looking forward to the release. :D

Heavy Cruiser Bolzano

Finally I think I've finished the Bolzano:

Reports are welcome.

Hi Jap,

nice work

With your permission i will rework the UV-Mapping for the Yubari for making this nice ship more exiting.

One big tip for you.
Rename all nodes in the dat-file and sim-file cause using always the same name from the original ship ( Agano in case of Yubari ) is not a good choice.

Regards

Maddy

... to better explain Maddy's comment:

Names of propellers and rudders are used as links in *.sim. Two and more ship having the same links to propellers and rudders may not may cause immediate CTD but destabilise the system.

Bolzano looks fine!

Thank you both for your comments . I hadn't noticed anything wrong, but to be honest I haven't got much time to play a long career and check all the ships. I usually set a quick mission that let me put a couple of torpedoes in one of them to check that things more or less work as they should.

And to be even more honest, I haven't received a single comment about the ships in the game. Seems like there isn't much interest for anything other than "playable ships" (which in my opinion doesn't work right in any of the SH games).

I'll try to fix it renaming all nodes (it could take a while :haha:)

AOTD_MadMax, no need to ask for permission. You can do whatever you consider necessary to improve the ship. There's a lot of room for improvement in all of them.

Hi Jap,

thanx for your "permission" !
I wanne use the Yubari for my FOTRS V2.0 cause she is an nice vessel.
Is that OK ?

Here the first result of your reworked Yubari.
She is now without any AO-Map, only the normal texture is used.
