I think the best way to drink those cheap Weizen beer is to drink it ice cold with some banana juice.
Though one of our local breweries, Uerige also makes a Weizen, afaik the only one in the Rhineland.
If some of you have the chance to get one: try it!

I made the big mistake during my first trip to Sweden to buy beer from the supermarket (lattöl:-?) - guess you could hear my swearing till Denmark :DL
Though I must say that the normal Swedish beer is much better than its reputation, especially Åbro has some pretty yummy brews :()1:

The swedes makes very good beer...that goes abroad. Beermaker have to follow strictly rules. Beer may not be stronger than 2.8 %. Try a Pripps Blå 2.8 % bought in a local swedish store and same beer in a German store. Offcourse in Germany the beer would probably be alot stronger than 2.8 % and it surely will taste alot better.

The danish beer is a totally different stoy.

You can get a good beer in any country, but you have to know where to look. In the USA, you need to go to the microbreweries.

This is one of my favorite places. The Steelgaarden Wit is simply to die for.

Right on. In fact you can find great beer in any city, even, you just need to find a brewpub with the right selection. People need to throw the idea that America somehow sucks at beer - so much good stuff everywhere!
European mass-market beer is just as terrible as its US equivalent BTW:O:

Weißbier with Banajuice? In some places in Upper bavaria you would be stoned for such heinous crime!!
Btw it's called Weißbier and not Weizenbier!!

And if you have the slightest chance to get one of these:
http://brauerei-karg.swhosting8.de/m...eweissbier.png
then drink it.
That's the best Weißbier available on this Planet. Everything else is just Bier. :03:

And the best Place to drink Weißbier is at places like this:

Weißbier with Bananajuice, unbelievable! :O:

I thought it might, but didn't want to be accused of racism or stereotyping by calling all bog-trotters Micks. :O:

Anyone know where I can get Erdinger Weissbrau retail in the UK? Had some the other day and it's lovely!
