The story continues....

Sunday 3rd June 2012

The ship has arrived outside the piers at the mouth of the Tyne and picked her pilot up. His mom, sister, a few relatives and I are now out of the nearby beer garden in the hotel overlooking the harbour and standing on the Groyne (left forefront).

James is now on the mobile to his sister and telling her he has the captains permission to sound three long blasts on the ships horn when he can see us and I have told her to remind him to be on the port wing of the bridge as he passes us.

There are three long blasts and we know the plan is working.

At this point the camera is set to auto because as luck would have it dad has something in his eye causing it to water just as he commences waving LOL *cough*

She's now passing to her berth about a mile away

Here she lies at her berth...notice the size of the North Sea DFDS ferry in comparison?

Good to see your son doing well. That is a darn large ship! I would say he has found something he truly loves. I'm guessing he is a chip off the old block.
