I have seen Warehorse. Good movie. Fairy tale but a good movie. Redtails is a remake of Tuskegee Airmen. Looks good and I will go see it.

I'm afraid Redtails is going to be Star Wars, but with P-51s:dead:. I'll still go see it, it can't be any worse than Flyboys or Red Baron.
I miss the old school movies, w/o the CGI. |

Warhorse was good being the only good WWI movie in a long time some museum has bought it's replica WWI tank too.

Watched 12 O'Clock High the other day, stunt-pilot Paul Mantz actually crashed a B-17 for an early scene. Even in black and white it's impressive and makes CGI look like crap. |

Redtails look good to me.
I never even heard of Warhorse, should I be embarrassed? Sorry I watch little TV. I seen commercials for red tails. (the little I do see) I hope it can stand up, and glorify these men as they deserve. (and did not get back then) |
Hrm, can one judge an entire film from just a few scenes in the trailer?
Possibly not. One can judge whether he wishes to spend his entertainment dollar taking a chance on a film when the scenes the director chose to compose the trailer made WWII flight actions sequences appear impossibly cartoonish, and the dialogue as quintessential George Lucas. This reviewer is not going to waste his time, or his money taking that chance. Kind of like the reason I cannot watch Crimson Tide. I keep screaming, "That can't happen!!!" at the TV screen every five minutes. |

I wasn't sure how to feel when I saw the trailer, but I must admit to feeling disappointed by the choice of electronic music to advertise what is clearly a WWII movie. I'll give it a chance, though. |
Sad that this film is made by Lucas. He's a hack. The costuming people were OK according to a couple of the suppliers (who are unbelievably compulsive about the accuracy of their repro clothing).
|
Major reason for giving "Red Tails" a chance: Lucas did NOT write or direct this film! It was directed by Anthony Hemingway and written by John Ridley & Aaron McGruder. Lucas was executive producer; his main role was to organize and finance the project. His being a hack isn't really a factor this time!
