OK just to be clear here: Trigger MAru Overhaul, Real Fleet Boats and Run Sislent Run Deep are the mods to get; do they all have current versions for 1.4?

All those are written for 1.5 U-Boat Missions. If you get SH4 Gold you have version 1.5 with no patching necessary.

If you are looking for something similar to GWX for playing SH4 the only choice for you is Operation Monsun and Operation Monsun Environmentally & Graphics Upgrade. It's not the same, GWX has much better atmosphere (IMHO), but uses higher resolutions, has new U-boot types (VIID, XXIII) and looks better on big LCDs. But GWX will always be my first love (if we are talking about subsims of course :D). OM+OMEGU gives you the only chance for playing U-boot in SH4, rest of supermods for SH4 were made for PTO, not ATO and Kriegsmarine U-bootwaffe.

When this thread was started, with the question "is there anything similar etc...", I think Rickgren was meaning: "is there a mod that works similar to what GWX has done towards SH3", and not "how do I get german subs in SH4".

Was it?

My impression was a mod for SH4 similar to size and scope as GWX. Theater of operation not specified. At any rate, I think he has what he needs.
