Did you get paid for this photograph?

About 15 years ago, I had some pictures published in a magazine. Did not get paid for it, but it was still pretty nice.

Congratulations!!!!!

Actually stem is also the part of some fruits that attach it to the tree... like the stem of an apple. Its a noun meaning "a stalk or trunk" - thus you can think of its meaning as used.

I actually do apologize - as I was in a very odd mood when I posted that. I won't edit it - wouldn't be right. Still, I regret it.

True, but the original use in the voting is a verb, so... :D

Why? If you did something worthy of apology or regret, I must have missed it.

No, none of the photographers having made these 100 photos get paid. Those of us having made them do it as a service to the girls and for the credits. Those of us with a website get more visitors to our websites and eventually some customers. Maybe...
For the time being, I just shoot photos for fun and to fill up my portfolio even more. Then later, I'll have to see when I can start do it as business. Too long a story to exlain here...

Getting your photographs published in a "for profit" magazine is something to be proud of..

So did you send a copy of the magazine to your parents? :D

Not at all, we'd love to hear the truth...

Well done! I've only ever had photos used on a display in my old unit, still a nice moment but not as good as being published proper in a magazine.

For fun, indeed :03:

I am proud. :yep: And no, but I will show them the magazine. I just sent an sms to my brother about it. I'm going to see them soon anyway, so they can see it then.

Okay. The short version then. I'm not educated as photographer. I have a master from the university in French and German. But currently without job and in this situation I receive some money from a paid service. It would mean a lot of paper work to start up with a photography business right now. I would prefer to start up slowly while having a job teaching languages. But time will tell if I have to do photography as a full-time job.

Good job, congratulations :DL
