Arpaio was dubbed "America's Sheriff" a few years back because his efforts to fight crime in his county made him stick out from other locals, the title was taken from his book "America's Toughest Sheriff".I believe one thing that made him notable was there was a push to build a new multi million dollar jail or addition to the existing one and he said no in order to save tax payers millions, he built a tent city.During the invasion of Iraq during 2003 when prisoners complained of the heat in the tent city Arpaio said "It's 120 degrees in Iraq and the soldiers are living in tents, have to wear full body armor, and they didn't commit any crimes, so shut your mouths."

There is no evidence of racial profiling and the groups who whine about this are typical Left Wing groups like Amnesty International, ACLU, ADL, La Raza etc They think the laws don't apply to those they represent.

Now the Obama Regime is on a witch hunt after the good sheriff because the voters, prob viewed as "those ignorant voters" by Obama and his "justice department" keep him around.

Sheriff Joe gets the job done, we need more like him.

His playing silly buggers by acting tough has led to a huge increase in crime.

So he wants to save money, how much has his expenditure ballooned recently? Funny way to save the taxpayers isn't it, spending lots more of their money.

So he gets the job done? well apart from managing to increase crime which as the job title suggests he should be aiming to decrease it.
Saving money for the taxpayer by spending more of their money and failing to do his job.
So what is left that he might get points for is the illegal immigrants.
Oh dear he failed there too and not only failed but now saddles the taxpayer with even bigger bills for them as well as throwing away both the federal taxes and state taxes that were spent getting his deputies trained and accredited

So Joe gets the job done not by getting the job done but by playing a populist campaign of self advertisement claiming he is really doing that which he fails to do

If the federal government didn't avoid doing their job, this would not have even been as issue.

As for the sherriff's performance, and use of tax money . . .
He is elected by, and answerable to the people of the county he serves.
Those people approve, or disapprove his budget, and actions.
If those people are not happy with either of the above, they are (and have been) free to fire him.

As for "America's sherriff". Wrong!
