Here's a good tin foil hat theory which fits in well with assange's conspiracy theory's -He got one of his mates to anonymously make the accusations so he can go to the Swede's "See look ,I need protection from the evil 'insert country of choice here',Government"
Wikileak's started of as a good idea but when assange say's he doesn't give a rats if people die because of some of the stuff he puts up ,then he kinda loses the right to be thought of as a victim..

basically he's saying its more important to him to to get the information out than the people's lives ,he does try to justife it by saying the informant's are acting in a "Criminal" way ,of course he's the one defining what's criminal.

While I count myself as a strong supporter of Wikileaks, It does seem ironic that a leading proponent of protecting anonymous whistle blowers would himself be responsible for publicly naming informants whom he deems to be criminal.

Re. your tin foil hat theory. A lame rape charge does take the spotlight away from some very bad judgement on Mr . Assanges' part.

I like to think that if one of our "agencies" were going to do something covert against that dillweed, it would be in the form of him having a tragic accident of some kind.

Honestly...leaking all those documents from the pentagon would make Langley very mad. So Id say theres a chance this was a setup.
