DAY 1 TURN 2

919th RGT/709th INF DIV vs 502nd RGT/101st AB DIV

St. Germain-de-Varreville

Oh boy. This one was bloody. Arc controlled the center of the town and the NW corner of the map. As soon as the battle started it was 20 minutes of constant shooting, Arc trying to break out from the town and me trying to defend the outskirts of it. Both sides took some casualties yet almost no ground was lost/won. Oh and I must protest the Arc's routed soldier gaining a streak of ground when he ran to the east! :stare:

Arc's first assault left the street a tad messy
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/e...erret/1_SG.jpg

Both sides unleash their mortars on eachother

A small miracle; my two grenadier squads manage to get a foothold in the town center

My attempt to take control of the church in NW and thus get that darn MG fire to stop fails miserably

Final attack from Arc, don't think anyone got hurt in that one

PS. Strike #3 for RAF. :O:

Arclight 06-17-10 02:48 PM

Nah, was so quiet, had to make sure someone was still defending the road. :O:

You forgot to mention my engineers assaulting one of your MG positions and promptly blowing them, along with themselfs, to smithereens.

The stolen ground will be surrendered. :yep:

Would that be the initial assault towards east? :hmmm: I found some dead engineers there, my MG gunner got a shiny new M1 Carbine from one of them. :O:

Nah, you can put some troops to the small strip of land, lemme just get few MG42's pointing to that direction first. :DL

Like I said, the stolen ground will be returned. :D

Engineers are great at room-clearing. It becomes problematic if they're in the same building though. :shifty:

DAY 1 TURN 2

795th OST/709th INF DIV vs 506th RGT/101st AB DIV

St.Marie du Mont

Arc controlled the western part of the town, I controlled some areas from the eastern part and all but one exit road. Being an city map, I counted on Arc to move slowly through the streets and thus buy me another turn of time if I can hold out. So, instead of stretching by troops, I made two lines of defence to the SE road, hoping the first line would stop. Very few engagements happened until the very end, when Arc started to push towards the SE and met my first line of defence. All in all, nothing to see really.

DAY 1 TURN 2

1057th RGT/91st INF DIV vs 508th RGT/82nd AB DIV

La Fiere Causeway

Umm... yeah. Arc was totally pooped here with him losing the SE deployment zone as a result of the last fight. I had MG42's, tanks, AT/INF guns and LMG infantry covering all the areas he could put troops in with the exception of the NW corner where I left my two flags for the taking and fell back to better positions along the road. The battle started with Arc's assault from the flooded fields, which was repelled with MG fire from both NE and from the road, but he did manage to blow up my INF gun with (I think) his mortar. With no further major assaults I drove my R-35 into the field and captured the victory point there. After securing the SE portion of the map (Arc had small zone there) I moved the troops from there into positions from where to launch an counter-attack towards NW, which was eventually success in that I wanted to draw him out and get a total victory. Yay.

PS. I call BS, Arc called in the Lolwaffles and blew up my other R-35. :stare:

I had a different word in mind, but that pretty much covers it. :hmm2:

Oberon 06-29-10 05:29 PM

Hmmm, was that a Tempest or Typhoon, if it was a Tempest it was probably Hunter... :yep:

Raptor1 06-29-10 05:33 PM

Can't have been a Lolwaffle, that guy actually hit the target rather than kill off half the Allied troops...

But it didn't stall.:o

Arclight 06-30-10 01:31 PM

Not before or during the attack run, anyway. :DL

Oberon 06-30-10 02:09 PM

It must have stalled and crashed just off screen :yep::har:
