Wow that smooths things out a treat. was getting 15-60 frames a second in a kind of rythmic stutter. limited to 35fps, still flicks down to 15fps sometimes but overall much much smoother thankyou for posting the link Sober I had missed that one somehow.
Regards, Sam. |
I've only had lag/stutters with one historical mission.... The one in the Med. Aircraft shooting, shooting from German surface vessels and my flak guns, plus the aircraft blowing up from flak. No other stutters or lag at any other time.... just this once. Also no CTDs running SH5, except for a lost internet connection.
I'm still running XP Home but on a new computer. Intel 2.8 i5 Quadcore with H-50 water cooling. And H-50 or H-70 is the only way to go for CPU cooling. IMO Zotac 8800GT 1GB GFX card 2/2GB sticks of Matched DDR3 RAM.. with only 3GB being used with XP Seagate 1TB SATA 2.0 HDD - SH5 installed in Program Files on C drive. |
So I tried this and it works for me too. Problem is I can't get it to stick by changing the Target: line as described. Someone tell me what I'm doing wrong here.
I have the game installed on a separate harddrive (not my C drive) E:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\sh5.exe The text I put on the target line in the shortcut looks like this: "E:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\sh5.exe" /c start /realtime "" "E:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\sh5.exe" Is this correct? It doesn't seem to stick and I have to alt-tab out to change it. |
