:yeah: same here, they could plug in some reworked sh3 sounds and leave the modders to change them if they want something different. honestly i understand that we all want lots of stuff to be perfect because thats just human nature but really, i see so much of the stuff people are asking for and wanting to be put in the game that has nothing to do with the "game" being the priority to get "it" working the best it can be. ask yourself what do you want the game to be when its released? do you want the most beautiful eye candy ever but no time was spent fixing bugs because they were working on all that crap? keep your eyes on the prise and dont get distracted by asking for or expecting too much. after all the modders will need something to do so lets not have everything be perfect. :D the lower your expectations are, the less chance you will be dissappointed. |
What's the problem?
They told us of SH5 and now they stint us on information. We are bored and start to talk about irrelevant topics to dawdle away. We have a smalltalk about possible soundtrack for SH5, that's no request for the developers. Whatever music they use - if I/we don't like it I'll/we'll replace it anyway. |

But the era witch the game historical is represented needs a classical aproach! :) |
The SH 3 background music was okay, though I quickly shut it down.
The twanging and screaming proposed on this thread, I find totally out of line. Ubi did a good music job in SH2 and SH3. The first GWX gramophone package was the best--just Je Atendre was missing. Normally I would have not posted on this thread. Just making sure that UBI doesn't get the impression that post-period twanging and screaming is the way to go. Although WWII was not a civilized event, music then had not reached rock bottom yet (pun intended). :D |

You know, my parents brought me up to respect all opinions, to believe that all ideas, even if I do not think them best, have some merit. After reading the OP I have to call my parents and tell them they were wrong. |
I've always thought the Vangelis music "End credits" from the movie, Blade Runner, strongly resemble, Heimkehr from Das Boot. Take a listen...

Something completely different. Music by Paul Ruskay, anyone who's played sierras Homeworld would know what im meaning. I'm sure if he did the music for SH5 you wouldn't want any other to replace. Paul not only did some of the music for Homeworld but a couple of other games as well.
I have his music modded into SH3 and 4, when im ingame and out in the atlantic or pacific with his music playing its just plain blardy awesome . Its for me like his music was meant to be for the Silent Hunter series. Nothing else beats it. Example: Turanic Raiders Battle Music by Paul Ruskay http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzo4ONrI8n8 |
Wow, Kiwi, that piece has a very 0° 00’0N x 0° 00’0W quality to it.
