So while they are kicking out the mayor kick out the cops too as either they are just pretty crap or they are on an insurance scam.

Even if it was insurance fraud (which I doubt), the answer is to address the issue, not make idiot decrees in an attempt to eliminate the perpetuation of said fraud.

That's what I thought when I read about it. My home village has about 1,300 inhabitants. The small town I went to school is 3km away and has 12,000 inhabitants, and the nearest police station is about 20km away. Still, the level of bloodshed and felony remains manegeable.
No police is still better than a police force that does nothing at all - at least, there's no one to be paid for.

Maybe the issue is that the city police are too fat to run safely, 3 of the 5 definately look overweight
