Yeah, but what you're forgetting are the banks and them being controlled over TARP funds, the statist policies regarding pay and other corporate structures, the working towards government run healthcare...etc. This guy's just getting started. He has initiatives spanning government control of health care, banks, and energy. And he just got done nationalizing the automotive industry in America. A business that ripples out to suppliers, dealers, and maintenance facilities.

He is selectively giving large equity stakes in GM to those who didn't put up the capital risk, and selectively shutting out private bondholders who did invest the capital. That is redistributive, and unconstitutional. And it is a precedent for disincentivizing investment. All this should be unthinkable for an American President to do. This guy is a disaster for our nation. And yes....he is very much a socialist.

Pretty graph..but it doesn't tell the story.

Now that obama is in france, he can apologize for our aggresive and selfish actions in liberating Western Europe.

Shame on us:shifty:. Bad Amerika.

Yep....He needs to apologize for the evil Americans who helped liberate Kuwaiti, Bosnian and Muslims in Kosovo, as well as the thousand of Muslims that were saved in Somalia. You can give this breed the shirt of your back and they will stab you as you walk away. It is in their nature.

Wait a minute. Haven't you spent the last few years lambasting these very same ideas when they were being promoted by a Republican?

Yes. I disagree with the President on alot of what was said. What's your point?

Someone should do a tally on how many of your posts end with "what's your point?"

By the way, *I* understood his point... :salute:

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old rancher, who's hand was caught in the gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man.. Eventually the topic got around to Obama.

The old rancher said, 'Well, ya know, Obama is a 'Post Turtle''.
Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a 'post turtle' was.
The old rancher said, 'When you’re driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a 'post turtle'.

The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor's face so he continued to explain. 'You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, and he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, and you just wonder what kind of dumb ass put him up there to begin with'.

That about sums it up for the Europeans after last week's elections.

And what do we have here? More warmongering. Ugh. Now I remember why I don't visit GT very often.

These forums would really benefit from having some Muslim people. :yep:

Yeah, that's exactly what we should do. No negotiations at all. That would REALLY solve the problems we have between us.

:nope:

Whatever.
I just think it's all a bit one-sided and isolationist in here. Is "isolationist" a word? Well you know what I mean, I hope. If some of the people in here could just meet some Muslims and realise they're actually human beings then the place might be a bit less doom and gloom.

Sure, there are some extremists. But there are extremists everywhere. If I videotaped a Nazi meeting in America, I could hardly then post it on YouTube and say "look, this is what all Americans are like".

I have to agree with you.

GoldenRivet, did the cold war teach you nothing?
