Finally, an excuse for not being fit and eating and drinking sensibly. This strain does not kill the 'usual' targets, but seems to kill fit healthy people with robust immune systems which overreact to the virus. I'm off to drink beer and eat lard.

I havent heard of any confirmed deaths in the US as yet.

Over 100 in mexico.

Maybe its all those big mac's. :rotfl:

Say, any of you play Left 4 Dead?

SUBMAN1 04-27-09 08:36 PM

Oh no! OMG! 100 people died? Big whoop!

In the US, every single year, 36,000 people die on average from the flu. THat is about 100 people per day - in the United States no less! And this swine thing takes how long to kill 100 people worldwide?

Yawn.

Put a swag of cash on a huge wave of reported cases in Japan in a week or two when everyone comes home from their overseas "Golden Week" holidays.

Seriously, the next swine flu hotspot will be Japan.

At least the face masks aren't in short supply here.....

A few JOKES on the subject matter.

So if your feeling particularly PC today or think you may have gotten out of the wrong side of the bed this morning......no need to take things out of context and make adverse comments. Thank you.

Apparently the symptoms of swine flu are; sweating, excessive body odour and laziness.

No wonder it went unnoticed for so long in Mexico.

------------------------------------------

I'm sweating like a pig today.....oh hell....

------------------------------------------

Scare the **** out of your local town by going into the supermarket, picking up a packet of bacon then fall of the floor in fits of sneezes squeeling like a pig.

------------------------------------------

i'm a bit worried today.
i went out for a meal in a Tex Mex restaurant last night and made a right pig of myself.

------------------------------------------

So the Health Secretary says, "With Swine flu, we have enough drugs to treat 33 million patients"

So when the Muslims, Polish and other immigrants get their's.... us real Brits are well and truely knackered!

(You really have to had played Pandemic 2 to get this)

I lol'd so damn hard.:har:

You've got a point, too. It was nearly impossible to beat that game, because you'd always get one country that panicked when all your disease consisted of was a sneezing symptom or a sweating symptom..

Not at all! The trick is low visability and infect all and then make the disease lethal! Bacteria is the most difficult for me! With virus I manage to wipe out free areas and with parasite I infected the all world, but only a few deaths!!! Oh and madagascar still manages to get away...

Annual deaths in the UK from influenza c. 1,200. Used to be around 20,000 in the early 1990s, but a massive free flu vaccination program since then has led to the massive cut in deaths.

Nice to know that the NHS has 33 million flu vaccinations available to counter the Mexican version, which is rapidly developing into one of the world's least dangerous versions of the flu.
