BobChase,
Copied old files and moved the new ones in. However whenever I try to drive the VIIb, the program crashes. Any ideas?

No, not right now. If you copy your original files back into the game - does it work then?

If it does, then if you just put the two 7b files back into it's submarine folder, will it work then?

If we can get you back working, then i will show you how to do the mods yourself.

And we're not talking about concscience thing on how should I feel in sinking ships now. Its very out of topic we are discussing here. You're flouncing

You better get an attitude adjustment if YOU want to stick around. :stare:

Great! I was worried that we broke it!

Now, go to my filefront page and download the Timetravelers mods there.

http://hosted.filefront.com/bobchase/2194704

You will only need the SH3 Inspector to change your speed. If you download the Mini Tweaker mods (two files) I can also teach you to change the torpedo speed, default depth, hit power, etc. That one can also be used for better gunnery too.

There is another file up there called Wofies TweekPak. I can teach you how to use that one too. I use it for changing my default torpedo loadout for my boats. It saves time in the game like when the type 2 torpedo is available and I don't want to spend time loading each one into the boat, swapping out the type 1s.\ just to start a mission Another use that is nice for someone who is just getting started with the game is to load up some of each of the torpedos to see how they perform.

Anyway, download the mods and I will talk you through them.

Bob

What an abbrassive and egotistical character you are Contact - perhaps you would think twice if you had an inkling that your attitude to newcomers here has the ability to give this forum a bad name. Did that even cross your mind?

Instead of a belligerent attitude, and attempting to force your own views down people's throats, why not try and engage newcomers with a more friendly approach? You might be suprised at how successful that may be.

As we say in Australia, pull your neck in mate

Yeah right.. as far as I can remember myself as a noob here I didn't come here asking: "Hey how can I make my u-boat go as fast as PT boat or can I have God mode nuke torp ?" in my first post out of the blue. I came here already seriously knowing where I came, why I'm going to participate in this community and what attitude I will be holding on. I came here because there are plenty of superb moders with attitudes to make this game even more realistic. Not the up side down. And if anyone has a problem with it screw them.
So there is absolutelly no need to try changing up my mind, you'll fail anyway.

Noobs will either get serious or fall out, thats how the nature is made.
Thats how I was tought to live

This is getting out of hand, let newcomers play any way they like, but use encouragement to bring them from a "arcade" player to a "simulation" player. Chasing people away for not jumping into 100% realism right away is foolish at best, we need new players, we need support for this game and the people who choose to play it no matter how that play style is.

I play at 84% realism, should I be called a "noob" or boo'd and hissed at ?? I don't think so I support everyone here and stay a friendly member to aid those newcomers with helpful advise. Not everyone knows about WW2 and not everyone cares about it, not your fault or there's but don't pass out blame and shame by the spoon full without taking a dose for yourself.

Think before you type..

Enjoy SH3 your way now and the right way later, is what I say :salute:

Wow, your getting a bit out of line with other members here.

I was actually supporting your ideals but just putting a positive spin on your negative posts/comments.

I think you may find yourself lonely here if you continue to bite the hands that feed.

Rude and blunt comments will get you nowhere.

My lesson is learned I will reply no longer to any of your posts or comments.
