Since August is an ex paratrooper and has served his country, I think he has the right..in fact ,since this is the USA, I know he has the right to say whatever he wants!! :arrgh!:
Most "soapboxers" just run there mouths and have never spent a day in service to anything ie, country, community, etc.
I can see where someone who has spent weeks sitting in a muddy foxhole or jumping out of a c-130 in complete darkness wearing 100+ lbs. of equiptment might be somewhat more opinionated.
Or maybe even seen time in combat where he has seen friends fall. Men and woman die everyday protecting my rights. Whether they are cops or soldiers. Rights like voting an freespeech. So I can definitely see why August feels compelled to be more adamant about certain things especially if they are being bashed.
So Drive on Trooper.. AIRBORNE! :arrgh!:
