I see it's ok for you to use an insult, I get anywhere close to "attacking" someone I get a warning from a mod and even threats from you. You are setting a nice example as a mod. Just come out and say it "we don't want no librals round here boy."

This is the hypocracy that has driven everyone away from your party. I used to be a republican, that's why I can get you people's goose so easy. I know how you all operate. I just can't handle to two faceness of it all.

I did not know being a teenager was insulting. I'll ask my daughter if she is insulted by being a teenager. There is no attacking. You have an ill-conceived notion of the use of a word the spelled differently has a different meaning. It does not. It still has the same derogatory meaning. There is no way to you can deny that. Did you see anywhere posted by me that "I do not want Liberals around here"? On the same token, you seem to not like anyone on the Republican side. It is two fold you see.

Being a teenager is not insulting. Calling someone a teenager who obviously is not one is most definately insulting. Don't try to backpedal on that. You are of course the same person who thought the word niggA, and ****** are the same.

When you ask the other mods to ban me, I doubt I will be as long as they read all your postings along with mine.

Again, no matter how you cut it, no matter how you spell it, the word still has the same meaning. There is no back pedaling. There is only you attempting to change the subject and that subject is the Flamingboats Dictionary of Street Slang. If the spelling of the word as you have defined is endearing, why is there no high fives and the word used on the campaign trail for Obama and his supporters? Because it is derogtory, demeaning and racial.

Wow either a die hard right winger such as yourself is a champion of the african american community, ot you are just trying to stir **** up to do away with a political opponent. I think I know the answer.

I grew up in the south. I've been in the Infantry. My bradley's driver as well as many others in my unit were black. Trust me on this one, nigga is not the same word as ******.

I could go up to black people "that I was friends with" all the timeand say "sup nigga'. Trust me, I didn't go and say "sup ******".

Why isn't Obama saying it? Well, gee, he isn't saying hommies, bros or boy either. McCain isn't over there going "sup bro" either.

The last time I check I was not a Bradley driver and I suspect the others here were not Bradley drivers who address the Blacks in this way. I certianly do not address Blacks with this slang word. Maybe out in the field this was OK to do, here it is not. Just because you feel is was ok, did you really ask the Blacks in the Bradley unit if they REALLY thought it was OK to use this term?

McCain is not using slang words because it is not appropriate. It offends and hurts others. The same reason Obama does not use them. I'm guessing you did not consider this with the Blacks in your unit. I suspect is was just status quo. Would you have addressed the Tuskegee Airmen in the same fashion? It shows a great lack of respect.

One point that you fail to note, Flamingboat, is that the two terms that you mentioned are merely different in the manner of pronunciation, not meaning. The term that you are fond of using is merely a slang pronunciation of the derogatory term. They are, indeed, the same word. The use of the word offends me and I'm as white as you can get (except for the neck which is extremely red).

You're a little late, you should have expressed your faux "outrage" about an hour or more ago for this to look sincere.

It's truly amazing to see all you right wingers instantly take an ultra liberal Clintonesque stance on a racial issue all of a sudden. How completely phoney and insincere, but hey, if it can get flamingboat in trouble, why not?

I didn't have to ask them, it happens after you are friends for awhile. Of course I'm probably one of the few people here who have ever been friends with a black person. I'm not saying you all are racist, backward or sheltered or anything, just speaking from my experience.

You said you had a teenage daughter, would you be ok with her dating a black kid?

*here, take this loaded gun, careful now

I recommend thread closure. This is counter-productive.

Not, true, sir. I'm not "outraged" because I consider the source. However, when you want to continually use the word, it does, indeed get a little tiresome. You'd be surprised how many intelligent people can be offended and not start screaming and yelling and acting the fool. As for the rest of your drivel, whatever:up:

BTW, I have no desire to get you in trouble, you seem to be quite capable of that yourself.:yep:

Yep, she may date whomever she likes. She currently attends their b-day parties and goes to the moves with her classmates who are Black. Furthermore Flamingboat, my college room mate was Jamacian/African-American. I roomed with him 4 years and then rented a house together for another two years after we graduated. Never once did I ever want to use that word with him. Not to mention I/we shared this very same house with a Jewish man and Jewish/Italian. It was quite the mixing bowl of backgrounds but we had one thing in common...respect for one another. You make the very stupid assumption people do not have friends in any color but their own. Never make assumption about others.

Oh here we go again. Now what I say is "drivel". Sad considering I would be your best friend if I was a right winger. You all would be oh and ahhing over the fact that I was in the army even.

I don't expect anyone to call you out on insulting me personally however, since this is obviously a right wing bastion.

Rockin Robbins 10-13-08 12:20 PM

Addressing Barack Obama with your "endearing term" would also be a profound gesture of contempt. You're over the line again Flamingboat. The moderators are having mercy on your black soul.

Flamingboat theater indeed! I'm complaining to the management and asking for my money back.http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/a..._greenguys.gif

Hey, I'm tacking an honest political question on this strictly entertainment oriented thread. Fact: well over 40% of Americans pay no federal income tax at all. Source, CBO statistics. Fact: Obama says he will give over 90% of Americans a tax break. Can you explain how this lie can be believed? Why can't Obama tell the truth?

I'll answer that. He can't tell the truth because he would lose.

I don't believe you on the daughter thing, hell if you didn't care if she dated a black kid you would be a liberal and not a Newt fan. But anyway, I can't expect you to be honest in that obvious of a trap. If you were such a big fan of the "mixing bowl" why don't you like Obama? He is as mixed as it gets. Something spells fishy here, you say one think but you support McCain. The right has learned to do this though, oh we aren't racist or anything, yeah right. I'm not saying all right wingers are in the clan, but let's get real, if you really cared about people other than white christians you would not be a right winger.

Was he Jamaican, African, American or all three? Of course you would not use the word nigga with a Jamacain, they are physically black but they are foreign. That would be like saying English slang applied to me because I am a white American. Nigga is an American thing, Tupac defined the term. Just like an American black would not use. Jamaicans use the term bloodclot or bumbaclot, an American black would look at you like you were crazy if you said that.
