To people outside the states this may seem funny. However, Letterman is "THE" show people watch before they rest for the night. When he showed McCain being prepared for an interview with the "Need a ride to the airport?" It told many people just what a phony McCain is.

Hey! Leave me out of this! To have a financial crisis you have to have finances in the first place.

O rly?

I'm no McCain fan, but I hope you remember those words in November.

McCain is dangerous, politically. He has an awful lot of Americanist crap to throw at Obama and Palin was a political masterstroke, whatever her abilities.

A masterstroke of BS which seems to be the path of this once great nation. Cicero once said that for a nation standing at the abyss of corruption it is too late.

Anyhow, change can be made with bullets.

You mean as in Kennedy and King?

McCain flip flop

He now decides to attend the debate: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle4833003.ece

Just 10 hours before the debate was due to begin, and with Barack Obama already on his way to Mississippi, the McCain campaign announced that the Republican would appear, even though Congress had not reached a deal on a financial rescue package for Wall Street – something Mr McCain said as late as Thursday night was a precondition for his attendance.

Ok, which source is right about the timing?:rotfl:

Moments after Senator McCain ended several of days of suspense and announced that he would participate in the debate after all, the doors of his campaign plane were opened and the steps were down, as Mr. Obama’s 757 idled nearby on the runway at Ronald Reagan National Airport outside Washington.

Desperation is a stinky cologne......

Sea Demon 09-26-08 03:19 PM

Well, whatever the case, I'm glad the debate will go forward. It's time to do this stuff.

Zachstar 09-26-08 07:48 PM

The gamble failed but there was no way McCain was just going to hand an automatic victory to Obama.

He will look like an idiot for doing this but atleast it seems he is interested in the presidency.
