@Tchocky Don't get me wrong, I wasn't trying to knock it. I haven't finished going through his methodology yet (nor am I a statistical expert), but I see only 2 contributors to the site, Nate Silver and Sean Quinn (both Obama supporters) and I haven't been able to find any info on Quinn yet. From what I've read of his methodology, it sounds good, but it's so easy to slant things when you're dealing with polls and even statistical analyses of polls. They can analyze all they want, but until the votes are counted (and maybe recounted, disputed, and recounted again) we won't know until we know.

Got a source for the Obama bit?

Yeah, you linked to it. It's in their site:hmm: Go to the FAQ part of the site and read about who the site's owner is. Either in the FAQ or the methodology links, he states that he is an Obama supporter and so is Quinn.

Edit: He's from Chicago, too.

What is your political affiliation? My state has non-partisan registration, so I am not registered as anything. I vote for Democratic candidates the majority of the time (though by no means always). This year, I have been a supporter of Barack Obama. The other contributor to this website, Sean, has also been a supporter of Barack Obama.

Ah, never really read the FAQ.

They're kinda like ReadMe's, hardly anyone ever does.:D Most FAQs are boring, but that one had lots of nice info in it.

No, you're not, how do you think I ended up reading it:rotfl:Let me rephrase that: Most folks THINK ReadMe's and FAQs are boring, but it's a little known secret that they are indubitably the most satisfying reading in the universe.

Regardless how the above pic makes you feel, this is what states are going where and what that vote count means for each candidate.

And you know that.

Actually, Steve is correct. This means absolutely nothing prior to election day. Any estimate, regardless of what or whom it shows in the lead, is little more than propaganda distributed by the pundits of a political movement or party. When it comes to politics, objectivity is nonexistant.

If you want to take that route, have at it I just think it is a waste of time and detracts from the topic- but you go ahead and do what you think is best, ok?

Just trying to get a laugh. Not being serious at all.

Oh - nothing is over till the fat lady sings, but in this case, it is rare for a Republican to be this far ahead so early. That just doesn't happen. Never has in 20 years. Not for Bush, or Bush Sr.

Regan, I don't remember completely. I remember he was popular from the get go though.

Obama/McCain, a failure at being President.

President Obama/McCain has been in office for an entire hour and has failed to push though a single campaign promise. Opposing party members are considering drafting up articles of Impeachment.

Senator McCain/Obama was quoted as saying "I told you so, if you had only elected me, I could have made that first hour pay off."
