Pretty disturbing actually :nope:

Ah so 2/2 wasn't the only unit capable of that.
I wonder what the hell is wrong with some of our guys, the grunts used to do some messed up stuff like that. One time I was taking a couple fire teams northwest of Al Karma where they were going to do a foot patrol, looking for arms caches.
We didn't find anything interesting, but on their way back to the truck they took notice of a fairly skinny-looking cow. It was standing in the mud path they were using to get back to the truck. When I saw them stop, I thought " Oh God what are they going to do to this poor cow:roll: "
Then the automatic riflemen shot it. And not just bang, shot it, either. Ripped it to pieces with about 50 rounds from his SAW.
They thought it was a great laugh, and got pretty pissed at me when I got on their case about it.
I couldn't do much, since they had two Sergeants with them, and I was only a Corporal, but I hit every pothole, bump and blast crater on the way back.
We had guys doing crap like that all the time, shooting dogs (not wild dogs, people's dogs, on their property) flashbanging animals and sometimes people just for the hell of it, breaking people's stuff when we searched their vehicles and homes.
Totally unacceptable and unprofessional, not to mention stupid, since pissing people off just makes them more likely to help or become insurgents.
