I've bought Silent Hunter 4. Installed, looked into and dropped it far and away. And i'm returned to SH3.

It is only because of the great and deeply admirable effort by your team that I started playing a game I had shelved out of boredom, i.e., after GWX was released for SH3. I have closely followed the development of it and respected your work. I know I will enjoy many more months because of your superior work, that probably inspires professional game devs as an example to follow, when I get SH4 at the release of GWX4. There's no way I would want to miss out on that. Three cheers for the gallant GWX crew! :rock: :rock: :rock: And two thumbs up! :up: :arrgh!: :up: P.S.: If you're a girl please don't think I'm also as ugly looking as my Soundman avatar IRL ... I'm sure that if pictures and permissions of all that made GW and GWX what they are were handy? They would be included. The list reads as a "Tribute" in the Manual. From day one till now. God Bless each and everyone of them!! |
Excellent Tribute!
Although I have not had the pleasure of trying GWX yet (can't afford new hardware), I can safely say one would be hard pressed to find a more impressive group of people brought together by any other game. The beauty of the simulation genre is that it can facilitate a scholarly approach to every aspect of the game, which a "shoot 'em up" game never would. I am trying to acquire all the necessary files, patches, and tasty mods for future use. Hopefully some of the GWX team will still be around on this forum or another by the time I get to it so I can thank you properly after I'm able to give GWX a go. Hope you all are well. Sink them all!
