I would play the **** out of that ship.

Man i would love to see BBs and how well they get modded down the way. Once i start seeing damage crews and NSM flooding i will pretty damn impressed. You guys are breaking new ground and i hope to see more improvements in the future.

I think the best thing that can be done is have a little more of a collective thread for Sharing your breakthoughs and thoughts. The more everyone works togeather the more complete the mods will be.

how and when can that be playable?

It's Gerome's model (a German member on ubi forum I think).

:o

That's quite possibly the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. *tear

I would tear the seas UP with that thing! (if it were playable...hint, hint...)

Hey there, I feel like I'm spamming these forums with this but the PBB mod finally got a working damage control and hull damage thanks to Rucco. If you check out the PBB mod you can see it in action. He included a mission that will demonstrate what happens with the damage control. (He puts you next to an Iowa BB) Not only does it work for the PBB but it has stopped the random sinkings and lack of durability of the Graf Spee/Scheer PBB's! Very cool. You may consider asking how he did it as it is done very well. Now it's on to the fine points! Something like what he has done could be done similiarlly to the Bismark/Scharnhorst with some work between Rucco and you :)

Dont give up hope! The modders are bringing us our surface ships! :D

:arrgh!:

andycaccia 05-22-08 04:08 PM

That is a really good model, where did you take it from? Is a your personal creation?
It's fantastic!

But how about a Scharnhorst class battleship? Not big and nasty as tha Bismarck but nevertheless a grat ship. And it was intended for commerce raiding too..:arrgh!:

A few info..

Well that means Gerome is working to port Bismarck to SH4, right? - If so why not ask him for permission to use his conversion for a playable unit mod?

I think it’s best looking camouflage was the Baltic one used around March 1941 during its sea trials.

The dark grey turret tops and the full stripes give it a bit more variety in color than
any other scheme.

Anyway its looking awesome in SH4.

Is it just me or does the SH3 bismarck converted to SH4 have no small caliber turrets? I dont see any.. Only the Tertiary armament wich is the 3.47" duals and those other turrets wich i do not recognize..

W4lt3r 05-23-08 05:22 AM

No no no, i didn't mean to have quick and ugly one ^^ I was just curious on the bismarck picture from in-game. But since you're working on it, i'll be waiting for it

Bissy was one hell of a ship, and i hope it's one also in this game..

Im still trying to figure out how to adjust the accuracy ratio of you'r gunners because these guys shoot way to inaccuratedly to be able to engage a task force..

Yes... me too. I feel like I have drunk gunners:()1:
I'd like to know how to imporve gunnery precision, particulary at long range.

However, like all things in life, the better ones need always a long time for completion, but it will worth the long wait, I'm sure of this.

andycaccia 05-23-08 07:57 AM

I found a model for the Tirpitz, it's not cheap however...
I post the link just for the curious.

just a request on the paint schemes, could we use the scheme that the history channel used in their Dogfights show. it looked like the 3d model above, but w/ black colored cannons

andycaccia 05-24-08 12:26 PM

here is another site fron donwloading 3d models. They're free, but you have to register. If you want to donwload them for free, you must upload new models..
maybe somebody will find it useful..

Francesco 05-25-08 07:01 AM

where is the link?

ps: ciao bello :)
