Then in commands.cfg, I have this :

[Cmd184];s-boot
Name=Rudder_amidship
Ctxt=1
MnID=0x3F1A1105
Key0=0xDE,C,"'"

So when I click the button, it's like pressing the ' key. Now, does it still work that way in SH4, that's the question :)

I like the goldfish comparison :rotfl:

Okay, I think your commands.cfg info there may be the key, I was looking for, not 100% sure, but I'll try add a line like MnID=........ and see what happens...

btw, in commands.cfg, I have this:
[Cmd131]
Name=Toggle_TDC_autoupdate
Ctxt=1

There's no Key=this or that and no MnID. But clicking the button in the attack map still works.
So wondering now, if I should add to Cmd131 or write a new Cmd line... will try both...

If it works, I'll send you one of my food pills for my aquarium fish :up:

The commands.cfg and adding MnID lines really didn't do the trick, so I looked how the dial for selecting one tube or salvo worked and then kind of copied some of that and messing with the figures and textures.

So now I have a dial showing up in the right place, and it IS sort of working, except that the dial is showing M all the time, and I should maybe reverse M and A, because the game starts on auto. So one cannot really click it so the dial moves. One has to click and drag on the dial sideways, and then you can change between Manual and Auto.
So in the commands.cfg, I have this:

[Cmd131]
Name=Toggle_TDC_autoupdate
Ctxt=1
;MnID=0x2620D001
;MnID=0x2820D001
Key0=0x41,Rs,"Right Shift + A"

This way, you can always use the keyboard.

For dials.cfg, I had to come up with a new Type, since there was no Type for the attack map autoupdate button, and it seems Type37 works, so...

[Dial90]
Name=Autoupdate; Carotio`s Torpedo Dials, Auto-Manuel Peri
Type=37; Toggle_TDC_autoupdate
Cmd=Toggle_TDC_autoupdate
Dial=0x2620D002
CrtVal=0x2620D001
NewVal=0x0
DialVal=-45,45
RealVal=0,1; 0-auto or 1-manuel
Circular=Yes
CmdOnDrag=Yes
SndStep=1
SndList=2,Menu.TDC.TorpedoSalvo_T,0.1,Menu.TDC.Tor pedoSalvo_S,1,

[Dial91]
Name=Autoupdate; Carotio`s Torpedo Dials, Auto-Manuel UZO
Type=37; Toggle_TDC_autoupdate
Cmd=Toggle_TDC_autoupdate
Dial=0x2820D002
CrtVal=0x2820D001
NewVal=0x0
DialVal=-45,45
RealVal=0,1; 0-auto or 1-manuel
Circular=Yes
CmdOnDrag=Yes
SndStep=1
SndList=2,Menu.TDC.TorpedoSalvo_T,0.1,Menu.TDC.Tor pedoSalvo_S,1,

I'm too tired to experiment anymore this night, so any suggestions to how to make the dial switch from side to side by editing these lines in my dials.cfg?

On screen, it looks like this for now:

@any moderator
this thread should be moved to ATO forum...

I use 1280*1024

I put the command to no, and I have exchanged the texture for the dial with a really small green-yellov dot, so the dial actually works as a button. Well, that is 9 out of 10 times. If it doesn't work the first time, one just has to click again. I can live with it. So one just has to click on either the green-yellow center or the back circle with the A and M written upon it, and one should be able to switch between manual and auto for range and speed of target. The bearing works with uzo and periscope when moving. So now I only need to try and put a button for open-close torpedo doors.

well messing with the menu.ini file can be pretty frustrating to times :damn:
mostly because it's change this or that, then start game to check, then exit and correct till the effect is there.
So I took a pause from it and modded something else, like textures and torpedos, to clear my mind before the last step = the open/close torpedo doors button.
And thursday, I'm going away for a week to visit the family, which means no modding.
When back I'll try and see if I can get back to it...

Thanks for thumbs up.
I have been absent for a week, had to help my mother with her pc. The old one broke down, couldn't figure it out, so we had to go purchase a new one. Back in my own home, I have some catchup to do, also in the mod community it seems, and next week is busy IRL too. Maybe I can use an hour before bedtime each night to get this mod ship off. It's about time... :yep:

Any news on this?! I think it's hardly needed for SH4UBM...would be a big step forward!

Carotio 08-25-08 05:57 AM

Sorry, I work slow and dedicated with this, when I work, and real life really hasn't permitted to give me time for it lately. But it will come, rest assured. :up:
