Ah, a tiny flaw :p

Nevermind, just get the boys in the lab onto it.

If I were the captain of my own SSGN my first thought would be to send a Seal Team ashore with the doc to acquire as many young, healthy, child bearing age, females as they can carry in one of those Seal Team UAV's.

Officer's get first pick ... :know:

Urspankd 03-16-08 09:49 PM

SSBN or SSGN for me.

Dunno why, but I have got a strong passion with submarines

A sniper in the sea, not big but able to kill the biggest foe, of minor significance but can deal great damage.

I love the diesel boats then the nuclear stuff. The diesel boats are quiet, manuverable, and agile. The nuclear stuffs are relatively noise

Well, if I had the chance to choose which boat that I'd like to serve, I would choose Kilo.

I think if I had to join the Navy i'd prefer PT boats.

Didn't John Wayne have one of those ... ?

They don't make them anymore ... in fact the US Navy burned the ones they had left over after WWII to keep from having to bring them all the way back home. Made out of plywood I think.

Don't give up though ... the US Navy reinstated the Gator Navy four years ago:

Plywood skin on a mahogany frame.

There were lots of riverine gunboats in Vietnam. Saw a few from time to time.

Surface escort (frigate/destroyer) or amphib.

Not trying to hijack the thread just thought this be a good place to put the link since its about the navies. Just watched this National Geographic version about the sinking of the Kursk.

I chose the amphib...mostly because I like my feet on the ground. So I'll hop on the water taxi and jump off at the first sight of land (well, maybe not FIRST sight of land).
