Don't drive with the radio playing loudly in an unfilmilar area ...
Tap the brakes lightly if someone is following too close and then speed up (they will hit you if you brake too hard) Check all fluid levels ... be wise yuri or you will run out of oil, power steering fluid, brake fluid, water, air, spare tire, gas even ... :yep: Stop for all stop signs till you get the hang of just taking a quick look (we all do it) One lesson I learned in Los Angles was to never be the first car to leave when the light changes from red to green ... there is always another car or two and sometimes three cars running what they think is a yellow. Make sure you always know where your drivers license, insurance, current registeration, make model and vin number is at. Purse, pocket, visor or glove box ... Flashlight, blanket, pillow, extra bottle of water, energy bar, book to read in case of a road block, flood, ice storm, traffic jam ... Purchase two cheap sets of common tools at a discount auto supply ... Why? So you can just give one away if someone needs help along life's highway and you can be on your way knowing you tried your best to help. No hitchhikers means no hitchhikers no matter how innocent they look ... That's all ... now if I could just get my children to listen to me ... |

Having taught 2 people to drive I say: Pay attention to your surroundings, especially when you're backing up!:dead: Take your diving responsibility seriously. Try to learn from others mistakes- it's cheaper that way.
Don't even think of having a cell phone in the car.:shifty: |
