yes the path is the same,it works whit the GWX why not whit the LSHII? :cry:

I saw the mod but its just... just... I... dont know... just.. seems... Its not gwx! :rotfl:

The "sea" folder has over one GB... is there more ships in LSH3 then in GWX? If so, can this ships be imported? Or it would require a whole workaround in the campaign.rnd?

One thing I liked about this mod is the new manner of sinking ships... they will get the fore almost underwater and the stern will show out of water, just like titanic. I've never saw this in gwx or stock sh3. And its not unreal, it only depends on where the flooding is located.

For a stand-alone supermod, the "sound" folder is very weak. Not much new sounds, very very few, and nothing different about them. The sound is one of the most important things for imersion on a submarine simulator.

This supermod is a very beautiful and hot girl with no arms and legs. Would you do her?

Hi Steiner88,

it is not as easy as in stock-sh3. I've changed the nanes of ALL tga's in the sub-DAT files, so we can use different skins for all types an subtypes of U-boats.

If you want to change the skins, please read appendix E in the hanbook. Look at the nameconvention mentioned there. And then re-name the tga's of your prefered skin-mod.

Once more briefly what to LSH. Many maybe imagine with LSH around another GWX acts. However, this is not in such a way. The core of LSH is the radio traffic. In the floor version SH3 the radio traffic serve only the secondary entertainment, deal nothing with the real submarine war. In LSH you are led by the BDU by the war, you get direct orders and if you follow this, action empires campaign are protected you. To the fact comes that war is much more active. Harbours are attacked by allied bombers and also your contact announcement work on this negotiate to the air force. The likelyhood on aerial support has risen in LSH.

Do you a 2-nd installation of SH3 and simply tests it. Even if it will be difficult into German the news to read, you will like it maybe, nevertheless. The team wants LSH to translate in the English one, however, it are still absent some assistants who can translate the German texts into the English one. its

This looks like a great idea, but if I don't understand German, how should I know what BdU wants from me?:-? At least maybe you could try to translate the essential orders to the player, in a first stage, and leave chatter translation for a second stage.

Update to version 3.1 released
 
Hi,

LSH3 team has released an update to version 3.1. First i must say, the english translation of the "messages.txt" is still "under construction". Just see some screenshots of some new items:


Brunsbuettel Lock (by Nautilus aka Trainer1942)

A new unit, Arado AR 196 as a "swimming" plane in the harbor (and of course flying in the campaign as a "normal" plane):

Hi All!

Question (maybe a stupid one ... but I am a newby .. and you always forgive a newby) :)

I have SH3 (2 months old, installed with the latest 1.4 patch on DVD), bought at amazon.com. I installed GWX 3.0 without any problems.

My question is:

Can you combine the GWX 3.0 and the new LSH3 v4 together?

Furthermore, I have seen (don't remember the German website URL anymore), a video of SH3 where "YOU" the Kaleun is walking near de docks and see that a crew-member is painting a U-Boat?

I would like to know if GWX 3.0 and LSH3 will work together and if someone knows about "walking" around your own base?

Hi Rafael,

You can create separate SH3 installations on your hard-drive. One each for LSH3 and GWX.

Combining the two would simply be too much work and would require many different skill-sets.

Now I have it "normally" installed:
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII

I will install the game again this way:
C:\Program Files\Games\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII

I am more an 'Apple Man', I use Boot Camp and Windows XP to play the game. I must say it works perfectly, also the GWX 3.0 add on is fantastic. Great work!

BTW, historically speaking, German U-Boats did NOT have a bell sound when changing speed :yep:. The bell sound "ring-ring" is incorrect, it is in folder Sound >> Speech, but how can I change (replace) it with a correct sound.ogg? :roll:
