THey used to before when they cooked the meat as you ordered it.

Now they got microwaves and just heat up a burger cooked 5 hours earlier.

Not so! I looked it up, and now they are only 540 calories!!!!!!. Crud, I'd need to eat 4 of them for a 2000-2500 calorie diet!!! I mean, what happened? 800 calories used to be the perfect size for one of your three square meals a day!

Anyway, so I guess they are smaller - yet they still want three friggen dollars for that thing!!! I can go down to a mom and pop burger place and pay $3.50 for a decent sized burger than is probably 800 to 900 calories. Mc D's is a rip.

PS. It could be worse - I just looked it up and the US has the biggest version. Take Australia for instance and they have a tiny 480 cal version. You guys down under are getting really screwed!!! :D

Things get smaller and you pay more for them.

It's called PROGRESS:D :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hey - ever wonder what that meat is? Mystery meat. I think it is some leftovers from Cambodia:

Back when the sign on the arch said, "over 1 million served" (instead of over 5 billion served), the place wasnt bad.

Noways, they just suck. There isnt any other way to put it. Now to me, lunchtime chow, is chow, and im not all that picky, but for the life of me, i cannot understand why the drive through window at McD's is packed to the gills when right around the corner in the same strip mall complex, is a chinese fastfood joint. It has better food, less greasy, larger portions, short wait in line, for LESS MONEY.

When i go out to eat at lunchtime, the folks lining up at McD's continue to be a source of amusement. Meanwhile, im scampering back to the office with some beef broccoli, BBQ pork or what not.

A part of my morning is always taking time to prepare lunch. It calms me down if I'm tense, wakes me up if I'm still sleepy. The ritual aspect, etc :)

So watching anyone go anywhere for lunch is touch of amusement ;)

I "brown bag" it most of the time. Every now and then ill go out, but not very often. Too expensive.

I wouldn't let a diseased rat with sores on its tail eat a Big Mac. That's being cruel to the rat and he doesn't deserve that kind of treatment.

I had a Quarter Pounder with cheese last night. Lunch today was a Whopper with cheese at BK.

Still alive, thank you.

On the other hand, we do have a local chain here in Salt Lake called Crown Burger. A tad on the expensive side, but very much worth it. I go there when I can.

Why? When you can go to a mom and pops restaurant for the same $$$ and get much better food! Fast food is getting ridiculously priced these days.

Reading this thread reminds me of Michael Douglas in the movie Falling Down. You know when at the Whammy Burger chain in LA where he wants breakfast but they stopped serving breakfast only one minute earlier. My mum once kicked up a stink in a similar situation but minus the Tek-9 firearm. :D

I still kick it up and demand breakfast. :D And if you raise a big enough stink, they will provide it. One thing i don't get - Who the hell wants a burger at 10:30???

Next time you buy fast food seal it up and get it inspected by a scientist and prepare for a shock.

Trust me - you'd be in for a shock regardless of fast food or not. Stuff in your fridge would give you a shock.
