Sometime high, sometimes low. Some times I love the hunt and the planning it takes to get into position and not knowing untill the torps hit or miss if I got it right. Then there are bad days I just want to blow stuff up and BF2 is not enough. Sending large numbers of tons to the ocean floor helps me relax and deal with the problems that take place in real life. One helps the other.

As for the game settings, I use full realism with the exception of external view and the "action camera" (I never use it to my advantage, but I enjoy taking a look at the damage I've done). :ping: I also recently switched map contacts back on because it seemed too unrealistic to do all the plotting myself (as well as took away precious time in setting up a shot since I never pause during an attack - unless my wife calls  ).
Now for the geeky part. :know: I also put a red light bulb in the reading lamp (started that back in SH2 days), close the door, and often use headphones (especially when at the sonar station). I also use graph paper, a scale, a compass, and a protractor for my intercept calculations. I do use an HP calculator though, as I'm a little slow on the slide rule. The thing I really want to find now is a mechanical stopwatch (I have a digital, but it isn't the same). I've seen them online, but they're pretty pricey, so I keep hoping to find one at the local pawn shop. |
In SH3, playing with auto targetting on, you still had to tell officer to identifi target and solution/range to target by click on the buttons, or you could identify target yourself using the book. With SH4 you just point the scope at a target and everything is done for you, is there a way where we can have it like SH3 setup.:hmm:
About 60% realisim * Auto targetting on * outside view on (some patrols i'll disable it) * if very long patrol, i'll enable unlimit fuel. |
Realism..
My first run through so I'm only playing @ about 10% this time.
Use my answer if you are paying for your own education, :know::up: If not, disregard my answer and learn to spell correctly. :stare::down: How do people get degrees 'n stuff if they can't spell? The modern way I suppose. CheerZ! (edited for spelling mistakes:|\\..:rotfl:) |
