Yes, though I haven't added this ability to add new animations to the program........yet.......:D

Do you have keyframes made for a billowing sail? If so, how many keyframes are there?

Actually, it is already in the game, but unfoetunately it wasn't fixed by the dev team. But it works and I used to test it. It has a problem with animation that repeats all the time.

Trap container can be selected in map editor as a variant of cargo on the deck and its animaton seems to be packed in Library folder along with other types of cargo.

One of the versions of SHIII removed the containers if I remember, I think 1.3/1.4b.:-?

Because you have no hard code which controls animation... :D

As the program is written now it is possible to change up the keyframes. I'll have to make some changes to allow you to add new keyframes based on existing keyframes for the 3D model.
