More and more I'm worried that we were played for saps. I know the word is a patch is on the way, in the works, etc. But as the weeks roll by I'm worried this is akin to "the check is in the mail."

I want to believe in the mythical 1.3 patch, but I tend to be a pessimist by nature.

I hope you guys are right. I expect you are, and there will be a patch. I just worry.

Gold Bond....great patch for the itchy problems.

Ubisoft have officially confirmed patch 1.3. It will, in all probability, be the last patch for SH4. It will fix critical issues remaining in the game. It will not fix the frequently seen wish lists posted here and elsewhere.

2 weeks - be sure!

Okay, now when we get a patch, what happens then? What's in the works by the mods?:ping:

Also, let's not forget that 1.3 is pretty surely the last patch (given how unlikely it seemed that we would even get it in the first place), and that much of the original dev team has already gone on to other projects. I definitely hope that they take all the time they need, otherwise any leftover bugs in the code will remain there for good.

I am sure things will advance toward the creation of a SH4 Super-mod(s).

I'm not going to be banking on 1.4 so the devs have my blessing to take the time they need to get it right. The thing that really worries me is the fact the 1.3 number one goal is to fix critical issues and nothing more, and how the community is going to react when it's released. Over on the Ubi forums the day after 1.3 was announced the question was already being asked when it was going to be ready (no joke) and if things like more compartments were going to be added. :roll:

People's expectations are so high that 1.3 is going to do everything on everybody’s wish list. This is going to lead to nothing but disappointment. I predict we'll get no less than 10 threads on the first day of the patch being released asking/demanding to know why something wasn't added.

But in all seriousness I hope they are able to nail down and fix the critical game features. Which if they had been given a little more time we probably would have never seen.

You know those silly little gameplay 'features'.

Just little niggling little things :hmm: like ... well the radar, and the chronometer, the TDC errors, etc.

I dont really care about extra compartments (although it woulda been nice). Just give me the promised features and necessary tools that work correctly.
