Do we know what that minimum and recommend system requirements will be for this game?

JALU3 09-12-07 08:19 PM

OK . . . I've downloaded a Demo on my Brothers Rig . . . he has 512MB Ram more than I do, and 265Mb of Video Ram more then I do . . . and the computer still has it's bumps with high resolution . . . this thing is a monster for resources . . . and don't think you'll have anything else running . . . unless you have an uber rig.

Game wise this is great! The mouse play is a bit to get use to, but a nice improvement. And the level of detail when you zoom in, is OMG!

Let me tell you . . . support . . . support . . . support . . . support . . . buildings are your friends, moving infantry safetly to a building is a must . . . and repair repair repair.

I am loving this game a ton! I've been playing the demo pretty much non-stop and having a blast at it!

The game runs beautifully on my rig with all max details, 16xAF and 8XCSAA. Around 30 frames consistently.

I find the gameplay to be a bit fast and the Sea Side map is getting on my nerves but with the full game and a little modding these will hopefully be fixed!

I also just can't get enough of carpet bombing, it is by far my favorite TA of all of them because it's just so much destruction and so many explosions and it completely decimates everyone in and close to that area.

Wow that must be a pretty nice rig . . . cause the comp that I have it installed in now has 2Gb of Ram . . . and a 512Mb NVidea Vid Card . . .

And I myself prefer the King of Battle.
Short Wait time . . . heavy fire . . . precision.

From a tactical view point . . . you realize how much less precision air ordanance had back then . . . amazing what reduction in cost of laser designators and GPS guiders do.

But my new best friend:

I'd say it's a pretty nice rig...:D

Intel QX6800 @ 2.93 Ghz
2 x EVGA 8800 GTX in SLI
4 GB (4 x 1 GB) Corsair DDR2 800 PC2-6400
Asus P5N-E nForce 650i SLI Mobo
Creative Labs X-Fi Xtreme Audio Sound Card
Tagan 1100 Watt PSU
1 TB (2 x 500 GB SATA II HDDs in RAID 0)
500 GB SATA II Storage HDD
18X Dual Layer DVD/R/RW
16X DVD/R
Vista Home Premium
CoolerMaster Stacker 830

It handles whatever I throw at it quite nicely, I'd say. ;)

OMG! That's a pretty penny

While I want a realism mod myself and more of a Sudden Strike-ish gameplay, I realize the fast-paced action is a big part of what draws people to this game, and as such I wouldn't dream of taking it away from the Vanilla version. It plays right into my hands anyway, as more people=more mods and more people to play them.

What amazes me is the effectiveness of a well rounded Infantry Company . . . they can defend themselves against most anything if they move slowly and use their special abilities correctly. But OMG, Artillery!

Dowly 09-25-07 05:15 PM

Been playing a few days now and love it!! Good to see someone still bothers to make nice drawn cutscenes instead of those stupid ones made with the game's engine.

Safe-Keeper 09-25-07 05:23 PM

NorOps beta testing spot to whoever sends me a shrink-wrapped Collector's Edition:p.

Absolutely. The fact that they've gotten around to make so much artwork for the game is astounding. I'm really, really looking forward to play the single-player campaign to uncover the story. It'll be awesome, but from what I understand, way too short (I'll play at Hard to make it last longer).

JALU3 09-26-07 12:16 AM

Right now they are on sale in Southern California at Fry's . . . get them while they are hot!
