Here is a possible convo on getting a cheesebuger and twinkie for Leeclose.

Hostess: Ready to order?
Deep-Six: Yes, I would like a cheeseburger and a twinkie to go. (In my best english).
Hostess: Twinkie? What is a Twinkie?
Deep-Six: I think it is a sponge cake w/ a creamy filling inside.
Hostess: We dont have that item on the menu.
Deep-Six: Do you know how would?
Hostess: Nope.
Deep-Six: Then I will take six hersey bars instead.
Hostess: We dont carry those as well.
Deep-Six: For all that is holy, who would have the said items?

to be continued:D

Sometimes you need to skip in and out of 2 or 3 to get the desired effect

Once the US joins the Allies New York fills up like a Turkey shoot. The harbor is deep enough to allow a IX to move around (unlike Scapa where certain spots you can be submerged but your conning tower is sticking up outta the water) and plenty of juicy targets docked there at night.

Getting a Patrol to an area near NY can be a haul, I've found that if you go around Ireland (like you would pre-1940) you're almost guarteed to hit at least 2-3 hefty convoys; otherwise usually run into at least 1 good sized one and the occasional stray liberty ship. I've always left NY w/no torpedos left and maybe a few rounds left in the deck gun, always a 60k+ trip on the light side.

I was able to enter NYNY Harbor via East River/North of Long Island. It was pretty cool, The navigation map made it not look possible due to a strip of land, but the next thing I knew I was under the Brooklyn Bridge. Give it a try.
