Ok it's happened to me now:damn:
This bl##dy game and it's bl##dy bugs:damn: I understand what I have to do, but what programme do I need to open the files so that I can edit them? Windows doesn't recognise them. |
Bump!

A dialoge box should come up when you try and open the file (double click on it) so you can select the program with which to open the file with. You should be able to tell Windows to open with notepad or Wordpad at that point....

I use wordpad it tends to work well and makes them easy to read mate:up:

Thanks guys. Didn't realise it was that simple:oops:
At work now, but I'll get right on to it when I get home. Once again thanks for the help |

On a similar note. I had the same thing happen a few days ago before I saw this fix.
I'm using GWX 1.02 and SH3 Commander. After the dive of death I had a CTD. When I reloaded the game it didn't show any of my previous save games, they all totally vanished. Does anybody know a way to recover from this, or what caused the saves to disappear. I checked the Saves in the Career folder and the files are still there, they just won't show up in game. |
That's really weird. Have you tried re-editing the files as detailed above to see if they re-appear?
|
No, I started a new career before I saw this thread. I also found another possible fix for it in case it happens again, but I hope not.

Hi,
The other fix I was referring to was the loss of saves, not the zero wind bug. With the loss of save games apparently renaming your sub commander in the save folder fixes it. |
That's ok - still quite handy to know.
Cheers mate:up: |
