Twenty years! That's a long time ... Let's do this backwards :yep:
Year 2027 ... Neal's 14 year old grandson takes over the helm for Sub Sim dot com as the long expected release of Silent Hunter Nine approaches. A sub sim simulating submarine warfare on Venus in a war with one of Saturn's satellite moons.
Graphics are so intensive you need a quad core Geforce 1000MKX DDR10 ram just to see the inner beauty of water bubbles inside of the tiny drops of water as the first inter-space missile's are launched underwater by a stealth sub left over from WW IV (what happened to WW III?)(I don't know)
Year 2022 ... Waste Gate gets out of the brig just in time for SH 8 and tells everyone not to buy Silent Hunter VIII due to it's bogus ads of promising triple wide screen acess. Sales are down from the reported 3.5 million sales for SH 7 ... Ubi soft puts out a hit contract on Waste Gate.
Neal denies all wrong doing saying, "Hey! It's just a message board for crying out loud" Neal's been too busy playing with his two nine year old grandson's showing them how to play SH, SH2, SH3, SH4 ... they aren't ready for the big time of SH 5, 6 and 7 yet says Neal.
Year 2017 Sales hit an all time new high for Ubi soft on the release of SH 7 ... reported to be in the neigborhood of 3.5 million downloads for only $9.95 with the new anti-piracy code numbers, no one can get away with illegal copies of software. This is why the total cost for games has been able to come down recently.
Year 2012 Silent Hunter Five was such a dismal failure in 2011 that Ubi soft immeditaly released Silent Hunter Six as a combination of all the world war's from 1917 to 2009 with the soon announced patch 1.3 for Silent Hunter Five sales have fallen off a bit with why wait for another patch when we can get Silent Hunter Six
Small side note: Neal's twin daughters get married to two Annapolis Naval Academy graduates and move to New London, Conn to start their new lives while husbands attend submarine school.
