If I am doing the 100% for the NIXIE, does it implied that it will explode as well on normal countermeasures (I don't want the last one...)
Thanks

No, this version of the mods removes expendable CM behavior from .ini control. This was done so the Nixie could detonate torps while expendable CMs would not, as opposed to having vastly different CM types following the same "rules." As a side bonus, this also solves the problem introduced in 1.04 where the torps went to the surface after losing their lock.

Ok, so I run the installer, path to the main DW folder, run the graphics updates, turn on the mod with the JD-whatever thingy, and run DW. I get the following message four times at start-up:

"Bitmap failed to load"

On the fourth time, the game crashes to desktop.

Do i have to re-bood my computer first?

Also, when i use the installer, it unzips everything to a "mods" folder in the DW directory. Do I have to cut out the stock DW Graphics/Doctrine/Database and put in the new ones? Or just leave the stock there and leave the "mods" folder how it is?

It sounds like you did a bit more than you needed too... all you need to do to install the mod is run the installer and enable it is JSGME and you are done.

I'm sorry, but based on what you are saying it sounds like you may need to uninstall DW and reinstall it.

I would 1) uninstall the mod 2) uninstall DW 3) reinstall DW 4) run the LWAMI installer... and then just enable it using JSGME.

The extra instructions included in the documentation are from DW 3.05 (and are marked as such) and probably should have been removed when the mod was changed from a simple .zip distribution to an executable installer.

I apologize for the confusion, we're just getting started taking the mod to the "big time".

Don't worry, we won't go hollywood.

Cheers,
David

:D Too right - ''A Star is borne !''

Excuse the cheese I just had to hit my 2000th post !:huh::up:;)

Edit: Those ASW missile launch TAWs are magic - we've waited a long time but 'the boys' delivered.
THANK YOU BIGTIME. :|\\

Oh and one important thing ... LwAmi 3.07 requires DW patched to 1.04! If you try to use the mod with any version below you might get very unexpected results ... from strange messages to crashes to the desktop.

So, just to be on the safe side ... uninstall mod and DW ... then reinstall DW, patch it to 1.04 and then install the mod using the installer (Full version) followed by enabling the mod via JSGME.

Cheers

That's got to be why. Thanks Alot OS and LW!!! Me try tonight.

But do i have to reboot my computer after installing 1.04?

LuftWolf 02-13-07 03:55 PM

I can't recall having to restart my computer after patching to 1.04, follow the onscreen prompts and you should be fine. :)

Cheers,
David

Sad news....

I uninstalled the mods from DW, and re-installed DW.

afterwards, I ran the update to 1.04, and try to play. I get a CTD message: for something about the dangerouswaters.exe file.

LuftWolf 02-15-07 03:02 AM

Did you also uninstall DW completely?

Cheers,
David

I found the safest way was to un-install DW after disabling LWAMI then remove all folders relating to DW and the older version of LWAMI and then re-installed DW patched to 1.04 and installed LWAMI v3.07.

Works like a dream :)
