I don't need the dumps to know that I need to slow down. :x

This is a bad error on my part, easy to fix, but not cool.

Cheers,
David

So guess what, that needs to be fixed, definately. Looks like it's time to try to add some new things to DW as well.

Here we go.

Cheers,
David

Well, I've fixed the SW Hull Sonar problem and lowered the sensitivity of the SW WAA array, per Bellman's suggestions, since I think that's probably a good idea. It shouldn't be a "sub-o-finder" but rather help with situational awareness in high density contact environments.

It'll still easily register most surface traffic within range, but it won't be as effective against submarines, especially in high noise situations.

Here is the quickfix readme:

LWAMI v3.05 SW Sonar QuickFix

Note: The FULL LWAMI v3.05 is necessary. Install this OVER the original v3.05 distribution. To install, unzip to the "Database" directory in your main DW folder.

This is a quickfix for LWAMI 3.05 that fixes the SW Hull sonar problem and also updates the SW WAA array sensitivity to what will be the future standard in the LWAMI Mod.

NOTE for JSGME users: To install to the JSGME version of LWAMI, disable the mod, and unzip the quickfix folder to the "mods/LWAMI_v305/Database" directory.

Shkval bug

Tonight I fired a Shkval, it went on for 40 miles, and then it hit Iceland and finally stopped :)

Just wanted to report that bug, now that I stumbled upon it.

Best regards!

Can you actually hear my blood boiling through the internet?

I ported this over from another version of LWAMI in DW 1.03 where a certain parameter in the database didn't seem to work... well now it works in 1.04,:x which is good and bad...

Well, I have it fixed, but I'm really annoyed that this is the second unacceptable error.

I'm going to try to figure out what to do about releasing it... a second "quickfix" would really confuse the crap out of people, so I have to go with a new version, which means I need to make real progress.

So... I guess you all can expect a new version out soon.

This sucks... Molon, are you satisified yet? :p

Cheers,
David

I don't know maybe I can do a quick fix... let me take a breath first. :damn: :damn: :-?

Cheers,
David

Satisfied that you broke the Shkval?

LuftWolf 01-31-07 06:26 PM

No, satisified that I did it in a very public way...?

Hey man! Go easy on yourself.

You've been doing a great job in improving DW. It's perfectly normal that some mistakes will come along the way...

LWAMI v3.05 QuickFix II

Note: The FULL LWAMI v3.05 is necessary. Install this OVER the original v3.05 distribution. To install, unzip to the "Database" directory in your main DW folder.

This is a quickfix for LWAMI 3.05 that fixes the following issues:

-the SW Hull sonar previously had the wrong geometry in the database and performed incorrectly in game. This has been corrected and it will now function as described in the Readme. Also, the sensitivity of the SW WAA array has been decreased somewhat.

-The Shkval now shutsdown properly when it has reached its maximum range.

NOTE for JSGME users: To install to the JSGME version of LWAMI, disable the mod, and unzip the quickfix folder to the "mods/LWAMI_v305/Database" directory.

Include a tutorial video, but accidently put homemade porn in its place, and then we'll talk. Until then, you've got a long way to go before I'll be taking pleasure in your misfortune.

LuftWolf 01-31-07 07:41 PM

Well, it's fixed.

So after Tucker, time to try Battlestations: Midway. :)

Cheers,
David

Molon Labe 01-31-07 07:45 PM

tucker?

Battlestations? :-?

LuftWolf 01-31-07 07:50 PM

Tucker is an MSNBC host...

BS:M is a new quasi-semi-rts-naval-rpg-flightsim thingy-stratacile-wwii-historiographical game in 720p and 5.1.

I assume I'll be dissappointed and play some RB6 shortly afterwords, but there is always hope.

Cheers,
David
