I, too, would join the chorus of praise for Sailor Steve. He is insightful, kind, always appropriate, and even pretends to find my jokes funny.

Kapitan_Phillips 01-17-07 05:39 PM

I too, vote for Sailor Steve. He's one of the friendliest guys around here, even if youu havent formally met. He's also got a great sense of humour

Sailor Steve for obvious reasons (see above).

Cheers, AS

Kpt Lehmann

His work on the GW and GWX mods. The greatest in history in my opionion. So take a bow.

There are these guys like Luftwolf or Bill Nichols (SubGuru) .. but they are plainly beyond such ranks .. their help to community is immeasurable, and far beyond 'month' scope.

So for this month, I nominate vote for CptSimFreak for bringing the idea of 'silly comic' thread, and for starting it in pretty nice way. That really revived the thread.

Albrecht Von Hesse 01-17-07 06:05 PM

Errrrr . . . . tis a very difficult choice. I can easily think of 20 that I consider worthy of the nomination. So I'm glad this is 'of the month', and not a one-shot deal.

Having said that, my vote (this month) goes to Kpt Lehmann. Not just for being the central focus behind GWX, but for being so incredibly patient (for the most part :p ) surrounded by anxiously-awaiting Kaleuns eager for the release of GWX.

LuftWolf 01-17-07 06:11 PM

SeaQueen deserves recognition of her contributions to Subsim, because of her knowledge, thoroughness, patience, fairness, and overall consistent commitment to this place.

So, SeaQueen gets my vote for sure.

Cheers,
David

Well, then I guess that it's settled, Sailor Steve it is. :yep:
Skipp the polls, the voting and the judges, more seriously, for how long will it be possible to nominate new people?
Asking out of pure curiosity.

Point of order, this thread is for nominations, not voting. That comes after we have some nominations ;)

fredbass 01-17-07 06:48 PM

I nominate BBW. There is noone who has taken more time and answered more questions, especially recently, concerning GWX and many other issues with SH3 as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks BBW :yep:

baggygreen 01-17-07 06:58 PM

i'll order your point NS:lol: Sorry, joke from work.

Anyways, my nomination is steed.

ASWnut101 01-17-07 07:42 PM

holy crap! I have been under the impression that Sea Queen was a male.... oops!

LuftWolf 01-17-07 07:43 PM

"Queen" in an Elizabeth sense, not in a Tom Hanks in "Philadelphia" sense...

sonar732 01-17-07 08:02 PM

I concur with Sea Queen!:up::up:
