wrap the pc in bags or bubblewrap, ask her back and lay off it for a week. problem solved. she's just upset because your spending more time on the pc then with her (selfish women eh?)

hell my missus just got me a new guitar, she's now upset because i don't carress her in that way.... i mean if i plug a heavy metal pedal in her she won't make seriously kick ass sounds will she?

:-?

I think Subwolf, you're to addicted to SH3,

maybe visit Dr.Phil show :rotfl:

''Help my husband is paying to much time on a Subsim then me?''

Dr.Phil: I play SH3 too, so what the ******* ur whining about!

now a bit more serious, really if ur GF is threating you to leave you, then you're really going a bit to far with spending hours on the game.
also why do you need advice from us , when its al very obvious ''Drop the amount of time behind the computer and spend more time with her''
you have to make the choice ''SH3? or your relationship?''
I say if she leaves you because you cant keep ur eyes of the monitor, then ask urself

''my girlfriend left me, is SH3 worth it?''

Only a fool would say ''Yes''

And the good thing is that there are more women than men in this world...:D

I agree, if I met a VIIC at a nightclub I would go for it. Shes a stunner.

My advice is simple - lay off of the game for a while. The game is something that you can always come back to. Your girlfriend isn't.

I used to play RPGs 4-6 hours a day after work, then all day long on the weekends. I stopped playing the day before my daughter was born and haven't played since. I didn't play any games for two years. SH3 was the first. I'll play SH3 intermittently in the evenings when everyone else is asleep, but never with the intensity that I played before. I haven't played at all in the last two weeks.

There was one sentinel event that changed my gaming life. It was when an online friend of mine told me that he couldn't play the RPG anymore because he was being charged with criminal child neglect. He told me that while he was playing, his son and a few of his friends were playing in the basement. They found an old shotgun and after an extensive search, found some shells... The kids were horsing around with the weapon and his son was shot in the back of the neck. He was seriously wounded when my friend talked to me. I heard later that he died. I never saw my friend online again.

After taking some time away from gaming, I came to realize that time spent gaming, although it was very entertaining, was ultimately a tremendous waste of time. In the time I spent getting my character to be a master leatherworker, I could have learned the trade in real life. I learned the game, but nothing of value in the real world.

It's ultimately all about priorities. Games like SH3 can be very addictive and hours can fly by while playing. The thing I like to keep in mind is that while my fanny is parked in front of this monitor, the real world is still turning. When the CPU is turned off and you're finally lying in bed, the big question is what you accomplished that day - not in the game world, but in the real world.

I'd write more, but my daughter just asked me to read a book to her.

also remember Pc Games are pure entertaiment...but do not let it dominate your lifestyle.

as soon games are affecting your lifestyle...you can pretty much say ur addicted.

I find it weird when poeple can spend hours a day (6 to 8 hours) playing constantly.

OLD SAYINGS I WAS BROUGHT UP WITH #1

"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned"

Translated means don't go to sleep or you might wake up in the morning without 'it' and I don't mean GWX.

I've just had 2.5 hours in a Piper Archer II (Training..):oops: But i think you know the feeling...When you have been up there, soaring with the birds, you will always look up with yearning, because you have been there, and you want to go back...

The great Chuck Yeager was once interviewed for a magazine article on ultralight aircraft (for anyone who may not know an ultralight is not much more than a hang-glider with an engine). The interviewer asked him "General Yeager, you've flown the most sophisticated aircraft in the world. Why would a something this slow interest your?"

Yeager answered "Son, you don't understand. Mach 2, or mach .2, flying is flying."

I get the feeling that this sim has tested the relationship between ones spouse/wife/husband for many here to one degree or another. :hmm:
