As you see, lasers seems to have 1) low muzzle velocity, and thus the good and bad guys could dodge the beams, 2) low rounds per minute rate, and 3) laser beams seems to be "all tracer".

IMHO, I think I could kick some a$$ in the Star Wars universe with an ol´fashioned m249 machine gun. :hmm:

Lasers travel at the speed of light. No dodging them.

Hey how come a great and all powerful planet killer like the Death Star in the Star Wars movie New Hope had to wait for a plant (Yavin) to get out of the way so it could destroy it's moon (yavin 4) that held the secret rebel base. If it was the moon of Yavin then it's orbit was around the planet, destroy the planet the moon would go spinning off into oblivion. There ends the movie and those stinking dirty rebels are eliminated, order restored to the empire and on to conquer bigger and better things. :arrgh!:

Yes, I know that. But in the sci fi movies lasers have the speed of a donkey cart.

Now that is a good point, why the heck the Death Star did not blast that planet away could it had been to big? :hmm:

Note: Alway the Bad side invent a big ass gun that can destroy things in an Instant. but always JUST BEFORE IT WILL FIRE, the good side manages to destroy it in a miracle way just seconds before it will fire, same as with defusing bombs...always the last 10 seconds!

that drives me mad...I want to see a planet to blow up...but Mr.Luke screws it up....
