When it comes to sexual assault, I will cast the first stone.

Even back in my drinking days, when I used to get pretty wasted, I never sexually assaulted anyone.

Entertainment company Netflix has severed ties with Kevin Spacey, star of its House of Cards show, amid a number of sex assault allegations against him.
Netflix said it would hold talks with the producers to see if production, which was suspended this week, could resume without Spacey.
Netflix also said it would not release Spacey's film about writer Gore Vidal.
Meanwhile, police in the UK have opened an investigation into the American actor over an alleged sexual assault.

Yeah, there's goes Spacey's career.

Of course, I thought the same thing of Mel Gibson but he's still getting in movies.

I'm confident they've both invested wisely for a comfy retirement whenever that time comes :03:

Kevin Spacey: New allegations emerge

Update:
Quote:

New allegations of sexual harassment and predatory behaviour towards men and women by Kevin Spacey have emerged.
The claims, spanning from the mid-1980s to 2016, raise further questions about the US actor's conduct in the decades he worked in Hollywood and as artistic director at London's Old Vic theatre.

Portia de Rossi accuses Steven Seagal of sexual harassment

Quote:

Actress Portia de Rossi has accused actor and producer Steven Seagal of sexual harassment.
The Arrested Development actress, who is married to US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, made the allegation in a tweet posted on Wednesday night.
She alleges that during a film audition Mr Seagal told her "how important it was to have chemistry off-screen" before unzipping his trousers.

How about that steven?:hmmm:

Reece 11-10-17 02:59 AM

That was during the making of the film "Above the Law" so it's ok!:yep:

I bet that stuff happens all the time. The phrase "casting couch" is not an urban legend. I can see how the kind of power successful Hollywood men have would lead to abuse. But jeesh, lot of weird stuff in some of these cases.

Figures, just as he was about to release his Woody Allan-ish pervy movie  Someone find a way to digitally remove Chloe Grace Moretz from this, she doesn't need this kind of association.

While I have zero tolerance for workplace harassment, I have an equally zero tolerance for false accusations.

It is very easy for someone to make accusations years after the fact and almost impossible for the accused to defend themselves.

Onkel Neal 11-10-17 07:17 AM

That's true, Plat, and these days the accused is quickly tried and found guilty in the court of public opinion.
