I hate hedgehogs ::grrrrr::

Late '44 is sooo much fun . . . not!

There I was, at 180 meters down, running silent at 1kt, and creeping away . . . and I just couldn't shake this miserable blankety-blank. So here's a few shots to make your spine crawl and tingle . . .

http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l1..._23316_500.jpg

Of course, you don't hear this, and have no warning at all what's about to come streaking down onto yer noggin . . .

http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l1...233146_468.jpg

http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l1...8_233153_0.jpg

OUCH!!

Now, of course, between the explosion confirming a hit, and the sounds of a now-adrenalilized damage-control party feverishly working, the thrice-damned escort knows for sure where I am, and so . . .

http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l1..._23331_453.jpg

Unfortunately, they decided to gift me with another helping o' hedgehog. . .

Alas, I was a bit too preoccupied after that trying (and, sad to say, failing) to keep my boat intact after the one hedgehog landed and exploded directly atop the stern deck just behind the conning tower to take screenshots. I did survive the hedgehog; however, with my electrics damaged and now being dead in the water and unable to maneuver, the obligatory follow-up depth charging was more than sufficient for an ugly --and fatal-- coup de grace.

Sinking hospital ship...

I didn't do it... this time... but I did think about it... but the point is I didn't sink it... the Tommy destroyer shot at me and missed, striking the hospital ship... don't shoot me...

HMS Vimiera, V&W class, explodes and sinks. In the background HMS Arrow, A&B class, sinks in flames. Both ships were hit by torpedoes from U-13, type IIA.
AN16, Feb11, -41.

And so it begins, Feb -41. The planes are coming, first this Kingfisher and some 30 min later
http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u.../Hurricane.jpg
two Hurries came along. We spotted at least 4 more Hurricanes, 2 Kingfishers and 1 Anson during the following week.
U-13, Weber.

Medium tanker

Forced to dive by the arrival of an aircraft, into a mine field. One diesel left, no e-motors, no periscopes, no radio, no hydrophone, no deck gun and one dead crewman. I'm heading home.

For a split second, just as that image loaded on my screen, it did indeed look like an actual photograph.:yep:
