The continuing influence of Hendrix is still strong nearly 50 years after his passing. There is a line in the Bob Seger song Rock & Roll Never Forgets: "Well all of Chuck's children are out there playing his licks"; Jimi's licks are still being played and adopted/adapted a half century later. Even in far-flung Romania, the inspiration of Hendrix is felt:

In the Chris Squire clip, he mentions seeing Clapton in the audience of Jimi's first Marquee gig sitting there with a look on his face like "Oh my God, I'm not God anymore!" I wonder if there would be a similar reaction from Eddie Van Halen if he saw the Romanian kid?...
