Bandit just landed in front of me. Think the nearby giant camp has something to do with it. :hmmm:

I took an arrow in the back at some point and it's still stuck in me, I'm starting to wonder if it'll ever go away, or if my body has just morphed into it.

Edit: Fixed it by putting arrows into other people.

Yes, but the difference now is that there are no major or minor skill classifications, nor player classes. Every skill gain now counts towards leveling. Makes the process so much smoother and is a boon to people who play hybrid types, like me (One-handed/marskman/sneak/light armor/conjuration).

Hybrid here too, I planned from the start to play as a 2handed axe wielding warrior but along the way all that changed to 1hd/2hd/marksman/restoration/sneak/heavy armor/healer. :DL

I pretty much went into this game with one goal in mind, Breton Pure Mage. No weapons, no armor. That is beneath a man whom has dedicated his life to the study of magic, whose very body is a vessel of power.

lol... ok went nerd for a second. Anyways yeah I had from the very start one build in mind, Destro/Conjure/Alteration After acheving my build.. as I didn't want to gimp myself I was saving perks I realized there would be plenty more perks to go around, so I started perking Enchant which is HUGELY powerful at high levels with the right perks. As well as I dropped a few perks in rest just to get up to the magicka regen perk. all in all I'm level 36 right now and I pretty much have gotten everything I set out to build with plenty of room to grow So I might start branching out OR keep him the pure mage and build of the other schools maybe illusion for getting thru the theives guild or something.

If you're like me, you probably have 90% of Skyrim's books in seventeen copies
because you simply don't remember which ones you already own.

So, I quickly made me a excel sheet that lists all the books in Skyrim (according to elderscrollswiki)
and now I can keep track of which books I already own. :yeah:

I made this with OpenOffice, but I assume it works with every version of Excel. :hmmm:

Quick: Look to your left, then look to your right. One of those people is a
nerd. It's easy to tell which one, just look for the nerd-shaped hole in the
universe where a person used to be. If you've been wondering why it's the
geek rapture out there, it's because November is like gaming's sweeps
month. Anybody with excess funds and poor impulse control problems is
slowly starving to death in front of their computer or console right now.
Zelda, Assassin's Creed, Batman, Battlecall: Field of Duty and Elder Scrolls
V: Skyrim
have all been released within a few weeks of one another. The
most dangerous siren's call, for me, is sung by the latter: Skyrim is vast,
complex and incredibly dense. Every aspect of it breathes authenticity and
organicity. It is less a game than it is a fantastical life simulator. And that is
very bad news for those of us who might be terrible *******s and still kind
of in denial about it. Because so far, thanks to Skyrim, I've had to admit
that I have ...

Leveling has never felt less 'grindy'.

I have to say this is my biggest improvement. Too many times you "accidently" get a level in magic or something and mess up the maximizing of stats.

I found myself more worrying about how I did things, rather than using the most sound strategy to do them.

I am loving this game...Alot.
I love when you knock an NPC health meter down near zero, and they start crawling away begging for their lives.

I am currently trying to figure out how the insta-kills work. Initially I thought it was based on health of enemy, until I did it to an enemy I barely hurt.

I am thinking it is based on dodging and countering at the proper time. Anyone else got an idea?

If you haven't seen the bucket head theft yet it is pretty amusing.

And in tonight's episode of "WHAT WHERE THEY THINKING!?" we look at another
ridiculous smithing issue: Daedric War Axes

So, here I was, finally got my hands on to few Daedra Hearts. After travelling around
to get the needed Ebony ingots, I set out to craft me a pair of Daedric War Axes.

Some more travelling to find more Ebony to upgrade them to legendary.

End result? The same exact damage than Ebony War Axe!

I vote the person responsible of the smithing system is to be suffocated in
the poop of the Dragon that ate the guy who came up with the perk system earlier. :nope:

(Oh and Helmet was 3 (IIRC) points better than Dragonplate, yay)

I was about to try an orc armorer, considering I mostly enjoy sneak-assassins, and sneak-mages, even an occasional spellsword, I thought a heavy knight would be a good try. I'm glad I didn't bother.

The only redeeming thing, is this is still a new game, and they are going to patch it multiple times. So hopefully...:)

(if not, I am sure the modders are on it.)

You could try an Orc-anything if you like Orcs. I've rolled a number of characters and I am finding that race isn't nearly as important as it used to be. My Nord is plenty sneaky and pretty good at conjuration, in addition to some excellent archery and one-handed skills. One thing that I do notice is that picking the Warrior Stone makes things a lot easier in the beginning, as your sneak and magic skills will not be up to snuff at that stage, forcing you to rely on combat skills in the early game. My Nord started as a pure combat character, but sneak tends to level on it's own (one of those skills that everybody uses) and I added conjuration after stumbling across a few useful tomes.

Actually, I'm not entirely sure the list at ESwiki is accurate, seems to be missing some of the Brief History of the Empire books. :hmmm:
